How does Blinky Bot actually work?
Blinky Bot connects to your home Wi-Fi and is controlled through a free app on your phone. Once set up, the person on the other end can see through the bot's camera, hear everything around it, and drive it through your space in real time from anywhere in the world. It's not a video call. It's actually being there.
What's the difference between the PRO, Echo, and Expert?
All three models share the same core experience. Real-time remote presence, two-way audio, and app control.
The PRO is our entry-level model, ideal for getting started.
The Expert adds enhanced camera quality and a longer battery life, making it the most popular choice for everyday use.

Do both people need the app?
No. Only the person cotrolling the bot needs to download the free mobile app. Setup takes under five minutes and works both on iOS and Android. Once connected, you can choose to initiate a session at any time (provided the bot is switched 'on' and has been sufficiently charged).
How far away can I be and still use it?
Distance doesn't matter. As long as both the bot and your phone have an internet connection, you can connect from anywhere in the world. Couples across continents, parents in different countries, friends in different cities. It works the same regardless of how far apart you are.
Is it difficult to set up?
Not at all. Unbox the bot, download the app, scan the QR code provided, and connect to your home Wi-Fi. Most people are up and running in under five minutes with no technical knowledge required. If you ever get stuck, our support team is available to help.
What Wi-Fi does Blinky Bot need?
Any standard home Wi-Fi connection works. You don't need a special router, a business-grade connection, or anything beyond what you already have at home. A stable connection gives you the smoothest experience, but Blinky Bot is designed to work reliably on everyday household broadband (2.4GHz & 5GHz).
Is my video feed private and secure?
Yes. Your feed is encrypted end-to-end and is only accessible to the accounts you authorise through the app. No one else can view your bot's camera. Not us, not third parties. You are always in control of who has access and when the bot is active.
